…. Or when the Titanic drowned with its fate
doomed-
Was it the forecast of some Nostradamus reigning high
In some obscure island, basking in the glory of his prophecies?
Was it the vanity of the ship that claimed to disown fate of its
powers?
Or was it the curse of a soul that couldn’t dwell with happy
hearts newly in love?
It lies buried, the sunken masses would remain mute for ages to
come,
Dumb will they lie under an ocean from where no one would coax
Or tempt one to tell how the hearts beat in the breasts of the
lovers two;
Dead is all but the love, which lives on and on, upon strange
lands,
Upon the country of lovers new where the love would bloom again
Even if man could make a ship that defied its earlier fate.
