Poetry> Kiss from a roseKiss from a rose
Footsteps upon un-trodden path
And the night was dark,
Dusk went some hours ago,
Hours ahead was a new sunrise.
Heart was not will's slave
For it was beating hard;
The lady came, and fate took a sharp turn-
The slender promise of heaven, and much more,
Sweet it was to hear a lovely voice,
It was but the kiss from a rose!

COMMENTS :
The title of the poem has been taken from the theme song of the
film Batman Forever with the same title. A kiss is a
tangible connection- in the physical realm between flesh, in the
spiritual realm between souls. It was such a spiritual and
metaphorical kiss that suddenly changed the flow of destiny, and
gave ‘The slender promise of heaven, and much more’.
